Welcome to the Porvoo 9 Website

The Porvoo Group is an international cooperative network whose primary goal is to promote a trans-national, interoperable electronic identity, based on PKI technology (Public Key Infrastructure) and electronic ID cards, in order to help ensure secure public and private sector e-transactions in Europe. The Porvoo group meets regulary every 6 months, each time in another country.

The 9th Porvoo Group Seminar, hosted by Slovenian Ministry of Public Administration, was held in hotel LEV, Ljubljana, Slovenia, on May 11th-12th 2006.

The present Porvoo 9 website gives information which are still relevant after the seminar: i.e. agenda with presentations, related documents and Porvoo 9 resolutions, the information about participants, event photos and other important items. The rest of information was removed from Porvoo 9 site.
